Class Information

Concert Band - this class is mandatory for all fifth through eighth graders. I concentrate on teaching them basic music literacy. We are fortunate to have had quite a few instruments donated to us so for the time being the program is at no cost to the parents. We are very excited about this program which is in its first year and we have half the school enrolled.

K-5 Choir - This singing group performs every other month at a Sabbath service at the Simi Valley Adventist Church. We perform a wide range of worship and gospel songs geared towards the children's vocal range. In addition, we produce a full length musical at the end of every semester with this singing group as the highlight of the production. A special thanks to Artis Baker who is my musical assistant.

Hand bells - This is an audition only group for grades sixth through eighth. We perform off campus and at special events. This is an advanced musical experience which requires focus and discipline for the students. It provides an opportunity for the students to learn poise and confidence.
